The Right Height for a Side Table

Beside a sofa or armchair, the top should land level with the armrest or up to 5 cm below it, which in practice means 55 to 65 cm. Next to a bed, the reference is the mattress: the table looks right anywhere between mattress height and about 10 cm above it. Those two references explain why the same side table can be perfect in the living room and oddly placed in the bedroom.

What a Side Table Is Actually For

It is the surface that holds the reading lamp, the coffee, the open book or the charging phone, which is why stability matters more than diameter. A width of 35 to 45 cm covers almost everything. If you plan to use it for serving when guests arrive, look for a flat edged top and a base you can slide close to the sofa without the legs colliding with the furniture. A central or tripod base handles that far better than four corner legs.

Metal Frames and Tops Built to Last

We build our side tables with welded metal frames and a powder coated finish, made by hand in our factory in Bogotá. Metal allows slim profiles that do not visually crowd a small corner, and it keeps the table steady even with a light top, something all timber tables solve by thickening the legs. Upkeep is a damp cloth, and in coastal areas drying the frame properly after cleaning helps preserve the finish.

What payment methods can I use?

All payments are processed exclusively through Mercado Pago. Subject to the options shown at checkout in Colombia, you can pay with Mercado Pago balance, PSE, Efecty, and Visa or Mastercard credit, debit, or prepaid cards; American Express, Diners Club, and Codensa credit cards are also supported.

Are the products on your website authentic?

We do not source our furniture from third parties: every piece is handmade and finished in our own factory in Bogotá, Colombia, using materials selected for durability, quality, and finish.

What happens if the product I bought doesn't meet my expectations?

Eligible website purchases may be withdrawn within five (5) business days of delivery. Personalized pieces and pieces made to your specifications are excluded. The piece must be returned unused, unassembled, with all accessories and the original or equivalent packaging. The customer pays return transportation.

Order changes may be requested within five (5) calendar days of purchase, only before production begins, for pieces of equal or greater value, with any price difference payable by the customer. Discounted, clearance, display, closeout and prior-collection pieces are not eligible for exchange or return under the policy.

Manufacturing defects are covered by a one (1)-year statutory warranty; free repair is the primary remedy.
